[Today B'Elanna is at the Battle Dome, putting the finishing touches on several of the programs she's created. She's been working on this for some time, and now she's ready to make her announcement to the rest of the village.]

For those that don't know me, I'm B'Elanna Torres. In my world I'm an engineer on a starship, and we have rooms similar to those in the Battle Dome, called holodecks. Programming holoprograms also happens to be one of my specialties.

Since I came here to Luceti I've been programming several of my own simulations from back... "home." I'm making them available for anyone who wants to use them.

They include a handful of holonovels where you can pick a character to play and interact with other characters in a story. Like one of Harry's favorites, Beowulf.

[Yes, she made that one just for you, Harry. Oh the memories.]

There's even a couple for the kids: The Adventures of Flotter and Toby the Targ.

I've also created a Klingon battle simulation, a couple recreational destinations including a tropical resort and French bistro, and orbital skydiving. Also, I've programmed some games that Harry and I can teach you how to play like Parrises Squares, Hoverball, and Velocity.

And if anyone is curious to know what a starship looks like, I've recreated all the main decks of Voyager.

And that's about it. You can find them listed under Torres. Some of them might still need a little tweaking. If you have any problems, just let me know.

[Not long after that, B'Elanna can be found in one of the Battle Dome rooms with her Voyager program running. She's sitting at her station in Main Engineering, looking at the warp core in distant thought.]

Flotter, huh? That's almost as interesting as Parrises Squares.

[She smiles a little.]

It definitely brings back memories.

Voyager is your ship, B'Ellana?

That's right.

Holonovels?

[Several words in her introduction are familiar sounding, among them most of all the mention of being an engineer.... on a starship. Holodecks sounded pretty much like sim rooms to Fayt's ears, and he can't help but speak up, curious.]

They're interactive stories.

[It was the part about being a character that really caught Jinora's attention. She would definitely love to be in a book as one of the characters. Gosh, there's so much to comment on though, where does she start?]

Any kind of request? It doesn't just have to be a book?

That sounds amazing. Can you really take on any request. [ a beat ] Would I be allowed to help you on it, or at least watch?

It can be anything as long as I have enough information to go off of.

I don't see why not. What did you have in mind?

How large is it?

Fifteen decks, 343 meters long, a crew complement capacity of about 160, and weighing at 700,000 metric tons.

[There's a bit of pride in her voice.]

[Luke nods his head thoughtfully, mentally making measurements in his head. It's smaller than he'd thought, actually, barely longer than a Corellian Corvette. But he's not about to say that...]

And how much of it have you recreated so far? I'd like to see it.

[She wouldn't have been offended. Voyager is small, and she knows it. It's supposed to be. It was made for deep space exploration.]

The most interesting areas. The Main Bridge, Main Engineering, the Mess Hall, Sickbay, some of the crew quarters, a transporter room and a few other work areas, and of course the connecting corridors and turbo lifts.

There's a place back home that I'd like to see and maybe show my family but I wouldn't know how to make it. [She doesn't know if they'd all like to see Air Temple Island.] How big can it be?

[Jinora hasn't even used the Battle Dome yet.]

Tell you what. You come over here and we can work on it together. Bring any pictures or drawings you might have or you can just describe it for me as detailed as you can. I can start making it, and we can just make changes as we go.

All right, I'll be there shortly!

[She closes her journal so that she can use a little airbending to get there quicker. Outside, the airball dissipates and Jinora walks inside. Seems like only B'Elanna is inside at the moment so she moves to stand next to the woman. Then she bows.]

I'm Jinora.

[B'Elanna is sitting at one of the consoles when Jinora comes in. Looking over, she smiles a little. The girl is definitely cute. She would probably like the Adventures of Flotter. B'Elanna loved it when she was about that age.]

Hello Jinora, ready to get started?

Right down to the turbolifts, huh?

[He smiles, somewhat amused.]

When's a good time to come by?

Whenever you like. I'm sure I could work it into my busy schedule.

[A note of sarcasm there.]

[She's never seen someone like B'Elanna before but then again, the animals of Luceti were different too. So there's no hesitation as she moves to stand next to the woman, clutching both a journal and a sketchbook.]

Yes. I brought a drawing. [Now she opens her sketchbook and turns to a page where she's drawn Air Temple Island. It's in black and white but fairly good and detailed.]

Ikki said there were 10,552 trees on the island and she would know because she counted them all.

Seriously? Awesome! [ you can hear the excitement in her voice. ] We had an X-Jet back home. Would it be possible to recreate at least part of the inside of it. I mean, if you created an parts of entire starship - which I kinda want to see, by the way; then it shouldn't be hard at all.

I'll be through here in an hour or so, I'll drop by then?

[Well, that sounds pretty interesting. And racing cars isn't enough.]

Got anything with cars, and not the typical driving Sunday afternoon.
