[Action House 1]

[After having been dumped in Jade's workshop, and getting directions from the colonel himself, the occupants of house 1 might notice a stranger in New Feather clothes passing through. If no one notices or bothers to stop her, she will just walk out the front door in hopes of keeping as much of her dignity intact as possible.

After that B'Elanna goes to the clothing shop, finds her uniform, changes, then seats herself on a bench outside to look over her journal. Which she soon discovers is a communication device.]

I'm looking for tools. Where can I find some?

[Her stomach also decides to take this moment to speak.]

And I hope there's something decent to eat around here.

A story that I would like to hear at some point. However, I will ask again, what tools do you require? I may be of some assistance to you.

[This was fortunate. Not only was there someone from Starfleet, but there was also the potential of someone able to work at his level. Actually, depending on how far advanced the technology was, B'Elanna could probably kick his butt at Engineering.]

A hyperspanner would be nice. [This said in sarcasm.] But I know that's too much to ask for.

Anything small enough to work on a combadge.

[Wait... was it too early in his time for combadges? It might be. She's not sure.]

_{[ For a minute, his eyes widen.

Holy stars, was that... what? How?! Oh crap. But... she was speaking English. And she didn't want to immediately conquer all of them. Which he didn't think was something a Klingon would do... ]}

There's a couple good places to eat if you don't want to get fresh stuff and make it yourself...

_{[ Staring. Staring hard. Not sure what to make of this... ]}

[There's a pause as his staring doesn't go unnoticed. Its a little disturbing.]

_{[ Should he be sending up warning flares? His last run in with
Klingons hadn't been... productive. ]}

[She doesn't bother to hide her annoyance.]

possible full klingon mad? ]}

_{[ Klaxons, did he need klaxons? ]}

Do you always comment about someone's forehead before introducing yourself?

No, but... let's just say my last encounter with one half of your lineage was not very fun.

_{[ Try they almost killed him and he may or may not have caused an
inter-planetary incident. ]}

[That wasn't exactly the answer she was looking for.]

[And just like that her expression changes to one of shock. Her mouth hanging open slightly as she's left speechless for the... third? time today.

It's not something that I'm proud of. My Klingon half is hard to control sometimes.

So you're basically the Klingon version of Spock.

_{[ Now that he's starting to get she might not be an immediate and
terrible threat, he was calming down. It actually... made him a bit hopeful
he hadn't royally screwed everything up and both sides wouldn't end up
destroying each other after his dumb move. ]}

[Her brow furrows slightly in confusion.]

Spock - he's half human, half Vulcan.

_{[ It wasn't like it was a secret or anything, was it? He was pretty
sure everyone knew. ]}

I didn't know that.

[It wasn't a detail they had mentioned in Early Starfleet History. She had just assumed he was fully Vulcan.]

Maybe it's not such a big thing in your time. He's the son of the Vulcan ambassador and his mom was human, but he grew up on the original Vulcan planet, so he's more Vulcan than human most days - logic and all that jazz.

_{[ Can you feel his reverence for it? No? Good, because it doesn't
exist - or at least exist very often. ]}

[She listens, but then there's something that sounds a bit off.]

Hold on, "original" Vulcan planet? Since when was there two?

There aren't two. Vulcan II is their new home. Vulcan I was destroyed by Nero about two years ago.

What are you talking about? Vulcan is still there, or it was when we were still in the Alpha Quadrant.

[If he was from her time, that would be one thing... but this guy is supposed to be from the past.]
