I need help. A friend of mine came to Luceti with an alien implant in his head and its making him agitated and more aggressive than he normally is. He's lashed out violently several times. It has to be removed somehow. 

Not only that, but its programmed so that it will detonate if removed. 

I can handle the mechanics, and disarm it, but I'm no doctor. I need someone to help me get out. Someone with experience in brain surgery preferably. 

If there's anyone out there that is willing and experienced enough to handle this, please help him. He's my friend and I can't stand to see him go on like this.

[A little later B'Elanna goes to Harry's room and knocks on the door. When it all comes down to it, she needs to actually convince him to get the help he needs.]

Harry? We need to talk.

[Stepping inside, B'Elanna looks him over for a moment before leaning against a wall with her arms folded.]

I think I've found a way to get rid of that... that thing.

[She motions towards his head, obviously referring to the clamp.]

[He stops pacing, suddenly both hopeful and paranoid and really, really wanting to trust her words. Harry knows good and well that, before the clamp, he would have put himself in her hands and be done with it.

But paranoia is all-consuming, an itch inside his mind that drives him halfway to crazy.]

There's a doctor in the village that can remove it, and I should be able to disarm it so that it doesn't detonate when he does.

[She looked at him, clearly seeing his apprehension. She could only hope he would be agreeable to this procedure. B'Elanna didn't want to force him if she didn't have to.]

[Her skills, he has absolute faith in. Usually. There's still a current of apprehension when he even thinks of her touching the damn thing.]

Do you know this guy?

Personally? No. But I've spoken to him and I have every reason to believe he's capable.
