[Today B'Elanna is at the Battle Dome, putting the finishing touches on several of the programs she's created. She's been working on this for some time, and now she's ready to make her announcement to the rest of the village.]

For those that don't know me, I'm B'Elanna Torres. In my world I'm an engineer on a starship, and we have rooms similar to those in the Battle Dome, called holodecks. Programming holoprograms also happens to be one of my specialties.

Since I came here to Luceti I've been programming several of my own simulations from back... "home." I'm making them available for anyone who wants to use them.

They include a handful of holonovels where you can pick a character to play and interact with other characters in a story. Like one of Harry's favorites, Beowulf.

[Yes, she made that one just for you, Harry. Oh the memories.]

There's even a couple for the kids: The Adventures of Flotter and Toby the Targ.

I've also created a Klingon battle simulation, a couple recreational destinations including a tropical resort and French bistro, and orbital skydiving. Also, I've programmed some games that Harry and I can teach you how to play like Parrises Squares, Hoverball, and Velocity.

And if anyone is curious to know what a starship looks like, I've recreated all the main decks of Voyager.

And that's about it. You can find them listed under Torres. Some of them might still need a little tweaking. If you have any problems, just let me know.

I'm also taking requests.

[Not long after that, B'Elanna can be found in one of the Battle Dome rooms with her Voyager program running. She's sitting at her station in Main Engineering, looking at the warp core in distant thought.]

Soooo what's a Klingon?

[He knows what aliens are. There are plenty in Luceti that he learned really quickly what qualified "alien" but Klingons, he's never heard of.]

Awesome! I'll meet you at the battledome once I finish. [ and with that, she shuts off the journal.

True to her word, Kitty finishes her drawing and heads over there after about three hours. Once she arrives, B'Elanna can spot an excited looking young girl almost bounding over to her. ]

Trust me, there's no tech when it comes to the Bat'leth. It would be... dishonorable.

[Her voice scoffing at the end there.]

What I just described.

They're a warrior race, and I happen to be half Klingon myself.

Actually, he's just a fan of that time period in general. To us, the 20th century is more than a little dated.

[And B'Elanna is there as promised, looking up from the console she's at as the girl arrives.]

Well, you're definitely enthusiastic about this. What have you got?

All right then, let's see...

[And with that, B'Elanna starts her work.]

Just let me know if I need to change anything.

[As she programs, basic forms start to take shape in the room the console is assigned to. Making a place won't be too hard as its not exactly interactive. But its still going to take her a few hours at least to get in all the details.]

Back on my ship this would be a lot easier. Most of the time we can just tell our computer what we want and it will do it automatically.

Tibanna gas? Never heard of it. But thanks.

[Folding her arms, she looks back out at the core.]

This is where I work, so yes.

... Right.

[You caught her Harry.]

Funny how there's always fans or nostalgia of the past. If your friend shows up, tell him he's really not missing much.

It's a gas we use to power a good many things. It's fuel, primarily for engines and weaponry.

[He smiles.]

It's a nice place, really. I like the glow.

[ Kitty nods cheerfully. ]

I've always been interested in the this sort of thing. [ Kitty will hand B'Elanna almost a blueprint of the interior of the X-Jet. ]

[She smirks.]

I'll pass it along, but he probably wouldn't believe me.

Huh.

[Well, it seems that their galaxies are very different in many ways.]

Thanks. But to be honest, I never thought I would actually miss it.

You mean programming? I can teach you how as we go along.

[She then takes and has a look at the blueprints.]

How much of this are you wanting?

Oh?

[He turns and leans against a railing.]

Why's that?

[He knows about that stuffed Toby, okay?]

Need help programming anything else?

Well fair enough. Honour is kind of a luxury in my line of work.

[Didn't make sense most of the time]

It wasn't exactly my choice to be on Voyager. Not that I hate it there or anything, but... being stuck on the same ship for however many years it takes to get home isn't what I had in mind for my life.

[... Lies! Who told you this, Harry?! Was it Chakotay? It must have been Chakotay.]

I think I've got under control. But if you're itching for something to do...

I can only reconstruct so many toasters.

How'd you end up on Voyager, then? Transfer?

Well then come on over.

I am right there.

[Seriously. He's already moving.]

[She sighs, wondering where to begin with this.]

I'm not actually with Starfleet. I'm a Maquis. Our ship was pulled into the Delta Quadrant, and Voyager soon after.

Long story short, we had to destroy our ship. So we all went to Voyager and became a part of the crew. We've been traveling with them for the past three years, trying to get home.
