[Today B'Elanna is at the Battle Dome, putting the finishing touches on several of the programs she's created. She's been working on this for some time, and now she's ready to make her announcement to the rest of the village.]
For those that don't know me, I'm B'Elanna Torres. In my world I'm an engineer on a starship, and we have rooms similar to those in the Battle Dome, called holodecks. Programming holoprograms also happens to be one of my specialties.
Since I came here to Luceti I've been programming several of my own simulations from back... "home." I'm making them available for anyone who wants to use them.
They include a handful of holonovels where you can pick a character to play and interact with other characters in a story. Like one of Harry's favorites, Beowulf.
[Yes, she made that one just for you, Harry. Oh the memories.]
There's even a couple for the kids: The Adventures of Flotter and Toby the Targ.
I've also created a Klingon battle simulation, a couple recreational destinations including a tropical resort and French bistro, and orbital skydiving. Also, I've programmed some games that Harry and I can teach you how to play like Parrises Squares, Hoverball, and Velocity.
And if anyone is curious to know what a starship looks like, I've recreated all the main decks of Voyager.
And that's about it. You can find them listed under Torres. Some of them might still need a little tweaking. If you have any problems, just let me know.
I'm also taking requests.

[Not long after that, B'Elanna can be found in one of the Battle Dome rooms with her Voyager program running. She's sitting at her station in Main Engineering, looking at the warp core in distant thought.]

Yes. I brought a drawing. [Now she opens her sketchbook and turns to a page where she's drawn Air Temple Island. It's in black and white but fairly good and detailed.]
Ikki said there were 10,552 trees on the island and she would know because she counted them all.
Re: action
[B'Elanna then takes the sketchbook and looks it over.]
I should be able to do this. ... With exactly 10,552 trees.
action
['nough said, right?
She smiles.]
Really? Do you need to know what the view from the island looks like?
action
[The more information she has, the better.]
action
Is this okay?
Re: action
Well, it might not be exactly like you remember, but I'll try to get it close.
[A lot of buildings and mountains, she can do that.]
action
That's all right. It's a big city and I mostly only get to see it from the island or above it.
[Yep, maybe she'll ask B'Elanna to make the Probending arena for Korra sometime too.]
Re: action
[And with that, B'Elanna starts her work.]
Just let me know if I need to change anything.
[As she programs, basic forms start to take shape in the room the console is assigned to. Making a place won't be too hard as its not exactly interactive. But its still going to take her a few hours at least to get in all the details.]
Back on my ship this would be a lot easier. Most of the time we can just tell our computer what we want and it will do it automatically.
action
On your starship, right? None of our ships fly among the stars. [At least that's what she thinks it means.]
Re: action
[She continues to work as she talks. Putting in the algorithms, the landscape in the room continues to change.]
action
[She can't help it, she has to go inside and watch it form around her.]
action
As Jinora walks in, the buildings take shape. But she'll find that they are empty and devoid of almost any defined rooms. She has no idea what the insides look like after all.
Next, the trees start to appear. She puts clusters of them in the right places, but they won't be the same trees of course.]
action
When this is done will it really almost feel like being home?]
I didn't think it would go this fast.
action
[Other features around the buildings start to appear, including the airbender training grounds.]
action
Do you think you could teach me?
[Maybe then she'd be able to add things to this program to make everything perfect for grandpa.]
action
Sure. I could teach you the basics.
action
Where do we start?
[Congrats, she now has the complete and absolutely focused attention of an eleven year old girl.]
action
[And with that, B'Elanna launches into an explanation of how the Battle Dome rooms work in as much detail as Jinora can process. She also explains the code she's writing, encouraging the girl to take notes if she can.]
There might even be some books in the library that you can study to help you with the more advanced programming.
action
You think so? Wan Shi Tong would probably know, if he doesn't then his Knowledge Seeker definitely would.
